Access to advanced treatments. Right in your community.

Pioneer Research brings clinical trials to South Florida — through our research facility and a network of community physicians. Whether you find us through your doctor, a referral, or on your own, we make participation simple, accessible, and close to home.

What you get when you participate.

Joining a clinical trial isn't just about helping advance medicine — though that matters too. With the right team, it's about getting the kind of care, respect, and access that's hard to find anywhere else.

Access to advanced treatments.

Many therapies offered through trials aren't yet available outside of clinical research. Participating gives you a real shot at treatments that haven't been widely released.

No cost to you.

Study-related care, tests, and the treatment itself are provided at no charge. You don't pay for trial-related visits, lab work, or medication.

Our team treats you as a person.

At Pioneer Research, you're not a participant ID. You're not a number. Our coordinators stay with you through the entire study, in your language (English or Spanish), and with the time and attention to actually know you.

Get paid fairly.

Most studies offer payment for completed visits. We advocate hard with sponsors to make sure compensation actually reflects the time and effort you're putting in — not the lowest amount they could offer.

What is a clinical trial, really?

A clinical trial is a carefully designed research study that tests whether a new medication, therapy, or medical approach works — and whether it's safe. Every medication you've ever taken, including over-the-counter drugs, was tested in clinical trials before reaching patients.

Trials follow strict rules set by the FDA and reviewed by independent ethics committees called Institutional Review Boards (IRBs). These rules protect your safety, your privacy, and your right to make your own decisions throughout the study.

What participating actually involves:

Most trials require you to attend regular study visits — usually at our facility or sometimes at a partner physician's office. At each visit, our team checks how you're doing, monitors your health, and may collect samples like blood or other tests. The medication or treatment being studied is provided to you at no cost.

Throughout the trial, you stay in control. You can ask questions at any time. You can take a break or stop participating without penalty if it's not working for you. Your safety always comes first.

What you don't have to worry about:

You're not a "test subject" in a science experiment. You're a person making an informed decision about your own care, with a team that's required by law to protect your wellbeing at every step. Every trial we run is overseen by an IRB, our principal investigators, and our quality team — all working to make sure the study is conducted ethically and safely.

From your first inquiry through the end of the study, here's what to expect at each step. The process is designed to be simple, comfortable, and entirely under your control.

How it works.

1. Reach out

Tell us about yourself by filling out our short eligibility form, calling us, or stopping by. There's no pressure, no commitment, and no obligation to participate — we're just having a conversation about whether a trial might be right for you.

2. Talk with our team

A coordinator from our team will reach out within 2 business days to learn more about your health, your concerns, and what you're hoping to find. We'll explain what trials are currently open, what each one involves, and answer any questions you have.

3. Visit our office

If a trial seems like a good fit, you'll come in for a screening visit at our facility (or sometimes at a partner physician's office). You'll meet the team, ask questions, and we'll do health checks to confirm you qualify. You can decide at any point whether to continue.

4. Participate

Once enrolled, you'll attend regular study visits where our team monitors your health, provides the study treatment, and stays available between visits if you need anything. The exact schedule depends on the study, but our coordinators will walk you through what to expect — and stick with you the whole way.

5. Wrap up

When the study ends, our team helps you transition back to your regular care or, if appropriate, to other treatment options. You'll receive any final results that apply to your participation, and our door stays open if you ever want to come back for another trial.

Have questions about how it would work for you?

Common questions.

What patients usually want to know — answered honestly.

  • Every clinical trial we run is reviewed and approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) before it starts, and is monitored throughout for safety. Our team — including the principal investigator and study coordinators — watches for any concerns at every visit. If anything affects your safety, we adjust or stop the study. Your wellbeing comes before every other consideration.

  • A person. We deliberately built Pioneer Research to be different — our coordinators stay with you through the entire study, you're known by name (not by a participant ID), and our team takes the time to understand what you're going through. If you've ever felt rushed at a regular doctor's appointment, you'll notice the difference here.

  • You can stop participating at any time, for any reason. There's no penalty, no judgment, no need to explain. Your decision is always respected.

  • Often, yes. If you're already seeing one of our partner physicians, your doctor stays involved in your care. If you're enrolled through our facility directly, we coordinate with your regular doctor as much as you want — we'll never replace your existing care relationships.

  • Some trials include a placebo group as part of how the research works — it helps doctors and researchers know whether a treatment is genuinely effective. If a study you're considering uses placebos, we'll explain exactly what that means before you decide to participate. You'll always understand what you're signing up for.

Tell us a little about yourself, and we'll be in touch within 2 business days. There's no commitment — just a conversation about what's possible.
